Linux Cluster System Status Online Our Linux cluster was upgraded recently to the latest RHEL OS, which caused few tings to misbehave. People who connect from external sites may need to perform the following commands to reset their ssh keys and regain access. On your host: sed -i -e ' d' ~/.ssh/known_hosts
Where is the line number listed in the warning message.
For example in your output the offending host line number is 4 (see below). Hence, you would issue: sed -i -e '4 d' ~/.ssh/known_hosts.
If issues persist contact the Lab. or our IT.

Data Distribution System Status Update System is currently down Our Data distribution system is currently being updated/maintained and is down. The system should be back in operation by Feb. 27th, 2012
V2 ESDR Data Slight delays Due to new system hardware installation and delays in processing algorithms deliveries our V2 Data records will also be delayed. Currently our estimate is for Later February 2012.
Data Explorer Back online The Data Explorer database is now back online, but users could experience instability
Data Explorer Temporarily down The Data Explorer database is temporarily down due to a system migration that is taking longer than anticipated. All system services are working except image display/exploration. The system should come online by Friday Jan., 6th, 2012
Lab. Resources New Resources to be added. Two new additional processing and storage systems will be added to the VIP Lab. This will mean better and faster access and more capabilities. An announcement on system shutdown is forthcoming.
Data Explorer A new version of the Data Explorer is now available. Many thing have been enhanced for a better experience. Version 1.2 The link will change when it is fully approved. None

Resource Status Notes
Data Explorer: Fully operational, data still provisional mode (V1.0 ESDR). Many Explorer tools have been enhanced. Images now load now faster using GE tiling. FTP order and direct http download are now possible.
This is V2.0). Version (V2.0) is still in the making and should be available soon. 		None
Overall System Fully operational, with 2 disks on our RAID systems in silvering mode.

Data Explorer: Fully operational, but data in provisional mode. Many tools have been updated and enhanced.
This is the latest version (V1.1) A new version (V2.0) is in the making and should be available soon. 		Please send us your suggestions, feedback, or report problems. Use the link above to do so.
Data Explorer: Sub optimal operation. Many tools and data are in a provisional mode. Your experience using the Data Explorer will depend on your internet connection. Some of the images, animations, and tools depend on a good internet connection. We are currently testing different compression methods and image resolutions to improve the data exchange between server and client.
The new version (V10.0) for this tool is being developed and should be ready for release in early Auguste 2011. You can check it out here 		Please send us your suggestions, feedback, or report problems. Use the link above to do so.
Hodari (team accessible): One of our RAID File Systems (Kubwa) experienced a disk failure and is now rebuilding (the system is reporting a 30 day process - really long - but that is how RAID systems work). The system remains fully accessible and operational but in a degraded mode with noticeable delays. Suggestions: If you have to you can access and use the system, but it will be very slow. If your work can wait we suggest you delay using the machine till the file system is rebuilt.
Linux systems (restricted) Kaskazi, Uwingu, Kijiti,and our Wanaweka NAS Fully operational but access to Kubwa file system is very slow. None
Printers Mchapaji and Ukindu Fully operational with no problems reported. None
All windows machines Dunia, Mwitu, Unyasi, Mkurengezi, and Mkubwa Fully operational with no problems reported. None
Miscellaneous Lab. services Web page, email services, ftp server, group and team access, NASA managers access, etc... Fully operational with new additions as of June 30th, 2011. None
